Swimming Complex / Olympic Stadium

Swimming Complex / National Sports Complex, 1964, Phnom Penh

This is a swimming complex built to the Olympic standards of the time. It is centered on a 50 m racing pool and a diving pool. They are flanked by two buildings to the north and south and by stands seating 4,000 to the west.
The north building houses a restaurant and changing rooms, and the south building houses pumping equipment. The two buildings are connected by an underground passage. Light and wind enters from the porous wall in the locker room.
The stands are covered at the center by four columns.  Like the columns of the indoor stadium.
